Company Background

Sai Kim Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. was established in 1982 dealing in seafood business. Sai Kim is touted to be one of the best among the major fishery trading companies in Malaysia. By undergoing more than 30 years in the fishery industry, Sai Kim has evolved from retailing of seafood in wet market to its current status.

As a trading firm, we obtained seafood sources from Indonesia, East Malaysia, Peninsular Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, India, China, Japan, Taiwan, Argentina and Thailand. We export frozen seafood to China, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore.

Since its involvement in the seafood business, we have collaborated with the local and also overseas seafood processors in processing frozen and value-added services to enhance our competitiveness. 

Sai Kim has invested RM10 million to set up a 2,300 square meters seafood processing plant with 500 metric tons cold room facility and 3 storeys office block. We have also set up the first processed seafood tourism centre at Puchong and this centre attracted more than 100,000 visitors per year.

Sai Kim has invested in the plantation of Jackfruit, Java Apple (Jambu Air), Oil Palm and Paddy. Our Jackfruit plantation is one of the largest Jackfruit farm in Malaysia. We sell our Jackfruit, Java Apple, Oil Palm and Paddy to cater to the demand of local and overseas market.

In the year 2006, Sai Kim has expanded its business into swiftlets bird ranching. Now we are the major exporter and wholesaler of all types of bird's nest in Malaysia. We export our bird's nest to Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Vietnam. Sai Kim has set up an edible Bird's Nest processing plant in Puchong in 2010. Ever since then, this processing plant has been awarded HACCP certification in 2011 by The Ministry Of Health and SIRIM. We were awarded the VHM certification from The Verterinary Services Department (Ministry Of Agriculture) in 2012.
